The survey which has been realized by SudgestAid, among the fishers and the harbor’s workers of Abdeh, closed to the Palestinian Refugees Camp of Nahr el Bared in the North of Tripoli, has been closed. The activity has been conceived in the framework of the UNDP-Lebanon project, financed by the Italian Cooperation, for the assistance and support to the living conditions of the inhabitants of the area. The aim of the activity was to identify conditions and needs of the fishery sector in order to draft an integrated project to support that sector, which is one of the most important source of income for Lebanese and Palestinian inhabitants of that area.
A pilot project for the “governance” of Herat Province in Afghanistan has been promoted by the University of Genova, in collaboration with SudgestAid and will be financed by the Italian Development Cooperation.
Baghdad: meeting among SudgestAid and the Iraqi Ministries
On November, thanks to the support of the Italian Embassy in Baghdad and in particular of the Ambassador Maurizio Melani, a delegation of SudgestAid led by the Director General Maurizio Zandri had several meetings with some Ministries and High Official of the Iraqi Government in order to consider future possibility of cooperation.

The role of Regions in the new federal Iraq
The Provincial Council of Thi Qar (Nassiriyah-Iraq) has organized a workshop addressed to all its elected members and aimed at studying in depth the problems linked to the new federal aspect envisaged by the Iraqi Constitution. The workshop took place from 25th to 27th October in Beirut. Maurizio Zandri and Abrah Malik, General Director and Special Advisor of SudgestAid respectively, were invited to participate as the only International lecturers.
