SudgestAid is an Italian non-profit organisation, with public sector participation engaged in promoting and managing local sustainable development projects, providing assistance to public administrations and civilian populations in troubled regions in Italy and all over the world.

We operate, above all, in areas hit by serious crises and in communities where development is a particular challenge.

In this context, our activities include maximising the potential of human resources; socio-economic and regional planning; the protection and enhancement of natural resources, whether water, soil, or subsoil; developing and supporting new technologies; restoring the rule of law and social cohesion; fostering the respect and appreciation of cultural differences and equal opportunities.

Kick-off of the assistance project for Naqoura fishermen

A mission organized by SudgestAid and some experts in the sector of fishing and marine biology will take place over the next days in Naqoura, South Lebanon, in order to launch a project of assistance, financed by the Italian Cooperation, for the fishermen of that area.

Within the contract of long-term technical assistance for the implementation of training courses in the field of Governance, signed on 15th March 2010 between UNDP IRAQ and SudgestAid, a new project addressed to the provincial authorities and the administrative departments of Muthanna Province (South Iraq) has just started up.

Afghanistan

the University of Genoa in collaboration with SudgestAid signs agreement with the Herat University.

Our second mission in Afghanistan for the organization of the pilot project in the sector of “governance” for the Province of Herat ended last days. The one-year project, proposed and co-financed by the University of Genoa with the financial contribution of the Italian Development Cooperation, is going to be realized with the collaboration of SudgestAid as “implementing partner”.
